British Food Fortnight |
|
Now in its seventh year, British Food Fortnight is the biggest national celebration of the diverse and delicious range of food that Britain produces.
Shops, pubs and restaurants are invited to run promotions, tastings and special menus. Schools are encouraged to bring chefs into the classroom to teach children how to cook.

Hospitality Action |
| Hospitality Action was originally founded as the ‘London Coffee House Keepers Association’ for the purpose of “relieving aged and decayed members of the trade, their widows and orphans” who “from reverses of fortune (to which we are all liable) might be reduced from a state of comparative prosperity to the alternative of dragging out a miserable existence within the walls of a workhouse”. |

Seafood Training |
| Due to the demise of the high street fishmonger, there are no longer real methods of training young people who wish to undertake a career in the industry. The supermarkets (multiple retailers) have attempted to fill the void but lack the knowledge, skills and facilities to train their staff to the required level. |
