Objective
To create a market leading website for the entire Brakes Group, encompassing the group’s specialist business portfolio. Due to unforeseen business needs the project was brought forward to allow for the complete production of the Corporate and Brakes main websites over a weekend, which was met by The Hub and went live on the Monday morning much to the appreciation of the executive board.
The brief was then to elaborate on the existing sites to reflect Brakes position in the market as the leading foodservice supplier partners.

Strategy
Adopting the Corporate ID for each business, dedicated websites for each specialist business were to be designed, built and managed to differentiate the particular category of expertise, whilst the Brakes site was to embody the company’s culinary credentials and become an online source of information and inspiration.
Result
With in the first month of the launch the site attracted over 100% uplift in visitor traffic and sustains monthly hits of over 40,000.
Featuring a comprehensive database of recipes, interactive webcasts starring Brakes Development Chefs and suppliers alike showcasing inspiring menu solutions; to new products, promotions and editorial features, the site is maintained on a daily basis ensuring visitors return on a regular basis.
Undertaking a fully integrated approach, The Hub utilises Brakes’ web presence to communicate all marketing communications by hosting over 200 downloads from menu cards, pos, product lists, electronic brochures to corporate literature and specific customer campaigns.
